The Center

An interdisciplinary project by the University of Idaho’s art & architecture program. I collaborated with two architecture & two interior design students to create a full redesign for The Campus Christian Center into the The Center.

Logo Design

The logo design started with the typeface Eagle, a well known social justice typeface, the reason I choose this typeface was previously The Center was a gathering place during political periods and students would meet in the basement as a gathering place to make signs before a protest.

I felt something that could bring people from a non-religious background to The Center was the idea of social justice and togetherness, as The Center has a lot of social opportunities with charities and volunteering.

The typeface was modified with a rounded look to create a sense of community that a circle gives.

Outside Signage

Outside vinyl signage for the front door of the building,  would help better identify The Center and the colors would make the building stand out.

Proposed extra vinyl signage. There could be extra vinyl on the larger windows to better promote The Center. This is not an essential part of the budget but I think that it is a great space to grab people’s attention.
